Permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor - Housing

PQ Recruit is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's dynamic team within the Housing sector. Based in the picturesque Cheshire area of North West England, this role offers you the chance to work on exciting new homes and speculative housing projects. You will be tasked with managing financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring cost-effective solutions while delivering high standards of quality. Your expertise will help in driving the projects towards successful completion, and you will play a key role in maintaining client relationships and overseeing project budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks within projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Prepare and negotiate tender documents and contracts.
  • Perform regular cost analysis and monitoring to ensure compliance with financial plans.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and costs in relation to budgets.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Relevant degree and professional qualifications (e.g., RICS status preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
