Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a well-established organisation in the accounting industry, is seeking a skilled and professional Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met, and providing high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a compliant and professional service.Ensure all compliance deadlines are met for clients.Review work completed by assistants.Prepare accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax returns for filing at Companies House and HMRC.Utilise accounting software such as Xero, Free Agent, and QuickBooks for bookkeeping.Provide training and guidance to junior team members.Handle all client communications, both written and verbal.Manage inbound and outbound post accordingly.Generate and send accurate invoices for all client work.Assist clients with tax planning.Register clients for relevant taxes with HMRC.Maintain accurate Companies House records and complete necessary filings.Process payroll for clients.Provide coverage for colleagues during periods of illness or holidays.

Requirements:

Working towards an accounting qualification or qualified by experience.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathise and uphold company values.Willingness to stay up to date with relevant legislation through CPD and training.Proficiency in accounting systems and software.Strong organisational and analytical skills.Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
