Job Title: Press & Weld Press Brake Setter/Operator

Reporting to: Press & Weld Area Supervisor
We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our clients production team. This role involves operating CNC press brakes and other machinery to fabricate metal components to the highest standards. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to meet production targets while adhering to rigorous quality and health and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Consistently uphold high-quality standards for both standard and bespoke metal products.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with supervisors, managers, and the Quality Control team regarding production progress, quality issues, and health & safety (H&S) concerns.
- Work Area Management: Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with H&S regulations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience: Proven experience in engineering sheet metal production, with specific expertise in setting and operating CNC press brakes.
- Quality Checks: Perform regular quality inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Process Adherence: Adhere to internal processes and accurately complete all associated paperwork.
- IT Skills: Basic proficiency with IT systems is required.
- Machine Experience: Experience with Trumpf machines is highly desirable.
- Measuring Equipment: Proficient in using measuring equipment for accurate component production.
- Lean Manufacturing: Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
- Engineering Drawings: Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively, even under pressure.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Manual Dexterity: High level of attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Teamwork: Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding of production efficiency and commercial aspects.
- Work Management: Proven ability to manage workload and engage positively with colleagues.
