Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Area Production Operative
Department: Production Assembly Area
Reporting to: Assembly Area Supervisor


Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our client's assembly team. This role involves assembling and packaging a variety of metal components using both manual and automated equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that all work meets strict quality standards while consistently achieving production targets. You will predominantly work independently, but collaboration with the team will be required on certain tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the assembly and packaging of metal products meet high-quality standards for both standardised and bespoke orders.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and the Quality Control team regarding production goals, quality control, and health & safety (H&S) concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace in line with H&S regulations.
  • Strictly adhere to all health & safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

General Requirements:
  • Previous experience working on an assembly production line in a manufacturing environment.
  • Regularly conduct quality inspections to ensure all products meet the required standards.
  • Follow established internal procedures and accurately complete related documentation.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with assembly line operations and automated equipment is highly desirable.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team when needed.
  • Capable of managing tight deadlines and working efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and understanding of production efficiency.
  • Ability to manage personal workload and contribute positively to the overall teams performance.
