Quality Engineer Required!

Our client is a metal fabrication company specialising in the production of high-quality sheet metal products. In addition to their standard product line, they provide contract manufacturing services, including metal forming, welding, and laser cutting. Their custom solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the manufacturing processes and final products. You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, implementing quality control systems, and ensuring compliance with both company standards and industry regulations.

This a full-time position, working hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Fridays 8am-1pm.

Quality Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer requirements are met: By working closely with the Production and Design team.
  • Maintain and develop Quality Management Systems.
  • Monitor production processes and performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
  • Working in cross functional teams, working closely with Engineering Design Team, other Quality professionals and Sales Managers to ensure products meet customer expectations, highlight limitations and address any issues.
  • Response and resolve customer complaints and queries in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing time to understand supplier capabilities
  • Assist in the generation of FAI reports, conduct internal and supplier audits, submit annual compliance returns (WEEE) and act as the lead during BSI audits and rectify NCs raised during such audits.

Quality Engineer - Requirements:

  • Strong background within engineering
  • 4 years' experience in a quality-based role
  • Sound knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Good practical understanding of WEEE, ROHS, REACH
