Job Title: Team Leader - Senior Flight Systems Engineer
Location: Warton, UK (Hybrid/Flexible working available)


My client who are a leading manufacturing company in UK are seeking a Team Leader - Senior Flight Systems Engineer to oversee the production of Flight Systems engineering data and ensure project requirements are met in line with agreed standards. In this role, you will be collaborating across various engineering areas to develop innovative solutions, while guiding the engineering tasks through different lifecycle phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of Flight Systems engineering data to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop engineering solutions.
  • Plan, perform, and guide engineering tasks, including system design, development, and testing.
  • Review and approve technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to task requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent in a STEM subject (Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field).
  • Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in aerospace.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills in system design.
  • Experience with vehicle control systems, propulsion integration, and systems health management.
