Speech and Language Therapist

Independent Specialist School - located In Lytham St Annes

Full time temporary contract initially until Feb, with a view to extend on a long term basis.

35 - 40p/h

Our private client are recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to support their Independent School in Lytham St Annes for a temporary contract initially.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' communication needs, particularly related to social communication and pragmatic language skills.
  • Prepare reports for multi-disciplinary team meetings, Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews, or annual reviews.
  • Adapt therapy to meet the sensory and behavioral needs of children with ASD.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to address sensory or behavioral challenges affecting communication.

Requirements:

  • Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience supporting children with ASD and pragmatic language difficulties.
