At Driver Hire Grimsby and Scunthorpe we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch logistics solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Lorry Driver for a contract, of at least 8 weeks, to support one of our valued customers on a trunk run.
Job Description:
As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to a specific location. This role requires a professional with a strong commitment to punctuality, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting goods to a specific location as per the delivery schedule.
- Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
- Adhering to all road and traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and customers.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving licence.
- Some experience as a Lorry Driver.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours if required.
