Class 1 Driver

CLASS 1 DRIVER - DAYS

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 - 08.00 START TIMES

£15.50 PER HOUR BASIS

£17.00 PER HOUR OVERTIME

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Macclesfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known freight transporter of palletised goods, with plenty of ongoing work available.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Ensure that you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use• Drive/operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to complete all deliveries and collections as manifested

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK CE Licence • Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills• Effective communication skills• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

• Training provided on first shift
