Domestic Abuse Assessor ~

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Macclesfield area who are seeking a Domestic Abuse Assessor.

Contract - 3-6 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.

Full Time Hours - 37 Hours per week.

Location - SK10. (hybrid working could be available)

Rate of Pay - 15 - 18 per hour - Negotiable depending on experience.

  • Work within the framework of agreed multi-agency agreements and Council policies and procedures to provide a proactive service to high risk victims of domestic abuse by assessment of risk and needs and co-ordinating multi-agency involvement in keeping victims safe and meeting their needs.

Main Duties:

  • Carry out risk and needs assessments with those experiencing domestic abuse within agreed procedures, to determine specific individual client needs, identify levels of risk and urgency of response in order to construct an individual Care Plan.
  • Implement, co-ordinate and maintain individual Care Plans and act as Care Manager to ensure that services are arranged to meet the identified needs of high risk victims of domestic abuse.
  • Monitor, evaluate and review individual Care Plans, identify and respond to significant changes by modifying the Care Plan to ensure that the identified needs continue to be met in the most cost effective way.
  • Negotiate and liaise with other professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies and relatives about arrangements in order to maintain the best possible safety for clients and by linking into the MARAC and Specialist DV Court.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Local Authority / Public Sector.
  • Domestic abuse victim support.
  • MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
