Morgan Hunt is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading education provider in Macclesfield, for the position of Reporting Officer within their MIS and Reporting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-focused professional to contribute to the ongoing development of management information systems and reporting processes in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
The Reporting Officer will play a key role in supporting accurate and effective data management and analysis. You will assist in producing timely and accessible reports, support the rollout of Power BI dashboards across the organisation, and collaborate with departments to ensure data supports strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of data reports, dashboards, and summaries for planning and analysis.
- Assist with the implementation of Power BI dashboards.
- Identify patterns and trends in data to inform organisational objectives.
- Provide support across internal systems and cloud-based solutions.
- Liaise with curriculum, technical, and support teams to meet data needs.
- Assist the Business Intelligence Analyst in ensuring data supports strategic goals.
- Prepare for audits and inspections across college provisions.
- Resolve data issues, including working with the MIS student records system and relevant software providers.
- Support staff in the use of reporting systems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Power BI.
- Experience with MIS or student records systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in data management.
- Flexible approach to workload and team collaboration.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Pro-solution or similar MIS platforms.
- Understanding of educational funding and audit requirements.
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards).
