Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have a dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a dynamic secondary school, starting ASAP.

As a SEND LSA, you will play a crucial role in helping students with SEND reach their full potential by providing tailored support in the classroom. Your primary responsibility will be to support teachers in delivering inclusive lessons, ensuring all students, regardless of their individual needs, are able to access the curriculum effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans.

  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.

  • Help manage and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

  • Assist with any physical or personal care needs, where required.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a secondary school setting.

  • A positive and patient attitude, with a passion for helping students overcome challenges.

  • A good understanding of SEND and how it can affect learning.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment).

  • Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous, but not essential.
