Summary:
The Electrician will provide technical building electrical services, supporting the Site Facilities Manager. The role involves independent work and time management, while also seeking guidance from the Facilities Manager and Electrical Supervisor as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Electrical C&G Level 2 & 3 with AM2 (Essential)
  • Apprentice trained Electrical Level 2 & 3
  • 18th Edition (Essential)
  • C&G 2391 (Testing and Inspection) - (Desirable)
  • Water Hygiene L8
  • Knowledge of M&E standards

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide input into and management of the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring associated work tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) planner, SLA and KPI targets.
  • Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Provide support and expertise to assist the Electrical Supervisor.
  • Supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors, reporting anomalies to the Electrical Supervisor.
  • Work with Electrical Supervisor to identify obsolete and end-of-life-cycle equipment for input into the forward maintenance plan and updating of the asset register.
  • Work with Electrical Supervisor to identify opportunities to self-deliver sub-contracted maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all statutory records are kept up to date and available for inspection.
  • Be aware of and have good working understanding and practical hands-on input regarding control of legionella and associated required works.
  • Assist the Electrical Supervisor in the planning, costing and management of small projects and additional works.

Other duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Electrical Reactive/PPM's (as per appointment and competency)
  • Electrical Small works/ Installations (as per appointment and competency)
  • Attend reactive breakdowns.
  • Annual/ Monthly Emergency lighting checks
  • Complete Daily, weekly, and monthly PPM checks within capability.
  • Take meter readings.
  • Ensuring plant rooms, storerooms etc are tidy and clear.
  • Water hygiene checks - L8 checks
  • Carrying out repairs to safety hazards
  • Liaison with contractors and supplier (control of permits).
  • Monitor stock/spares and report to Supervisor.
  • Managing deliveries of items.
  • Ensure all records are up to date.
