Main Purpose:

The role involves underwriting loan applications in line with lenders' criteria and advising clients to ensure they receive the best mortgage offers and rates suited to their circumstances, while maintaining compliance.

Key Tasks:
  • Underwriting incoming loan applications based on credit history, client circumstances, and searches (e.g., Equifax, Land Registry).
  • In-depth knowledge of lender underwriting criteria to ensure client needs are matched with the right lender.
  • Calculating loan repayments according to the client’s income.
  • Providing advised sales based on a detailed understanding of the client’s financial situation.
  • Supporting team members as needed.
  • Proven experience in working to targets is required.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Education: Preferably A-level or equivalent.
  • Qualification: CeMAP (essential).
  • Experience: Proven success in a similar high-pressure, target-driven environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong telephone communication.
    • Ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
    • Organisational and prioritisation skills.
    • Experience with complex underwriting procedures.
    • Excellent IT proficiency and experience in a regulated environment.

Work Schedule:
