This Assistant Tax Manager job in Macclesfield will suit an ambitious tax accountant, qualified to ACA, ACCA or CA level, ideally studying towards, or already qualified to CTA level.

We are searching for a confident, technically excellent, and motivated tax accountant who can offer advisory and compliance tax services and aspires to create and maintain an enhanced level of customer service for our valued clients. Job Purpose

  • The review and preparation of personal tax computations.
  • The successful candidate will be the go-to for clients, regularly attending meetings and aiming to deliver customer service excellence from both a compliance and advisory viewpoint.
  • Provide generalised tax advice and compliance services.
  • You will take full responsibility for the work from initiation of the work, dealing with the client, execution of the more complex aspects, delegation and managing junior staff working on your clients through to billing.
  • Encourage, support, and mentor junior team members — championing customer service excellence.
  • Support the Tax Managers with the interpretation of relevant tax case law.
  • Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients and be confident in presenting and discussing them at Partner level.
  • Support the Tax Managers, Directors, and Partners with all aspects of tax and business development work and ad hoc tasks.
