Prototype Wireman

Are you an experienced technician with a flair for precision and innovation? We're seeking an experienced Prototype Wireman to join a great team in Greater Manchester and help drive manufacturing excellence forward.

The Role

As a Prototype Wireman, you'll play a crucial role in manufacturing cutting-edge products. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment and be part of a team that values attention to detail and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wiring up electrical components, panels, and circuit boards based on schematics or blueprints
  • Assemble electronic systems, soldering and crimping
  • Occasional rework and repair PCBs with precision
  • Assemble cable assemblies and terminate military-grade connectors
  • Use inspection and measuring equipment
  • Rack assembly
  • Identify potential improvements to manufacturing methods

What We're Looking For:

  • IPC 610/620 qualification
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good level of dexterity
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
