Residential Property Fee Earner (Conveyancer)

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Fee Earner (Conveyancer) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of residential property fee-earning work for client files independently. This role is integral to the firm’s development in line with our business plans.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct matters on behalf of clients accurately and reliably, adhering to the firm’s quality and risk management procedures (Lexcel and SRA Code of conduct).
  • Generate fee income and manage time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
  • Participate actively in business development opportunities for the team and firm.
  • Provide supervision and support for fee-earning work undertaken by colleagues, covering absence and holidays.
  • Engage in marketing activities to promote the firm.
  • Deliver professional and friendly client support both in person and via telephone.
  • Manage correspondence and document preparation through the case management system.
  • Handle filing and the maintenance of client files in accordance with office procedures.
  • Attend and participate in group meetings.
  • Develop new work from existing clients and seek new clients.
  • Maintain a network of contacts and referrers, promoting the firm professionally and personally.
  • Utilise IT and telephone skills effectively in modern legal practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Conveyancer/Paralegal with a track record of fee-earning work.
  • Relevant qualifications for the group.
  • Strong commitment to the firm’s mission statement and core values.
  • Team player with efficient, well-organised, and timely work habits.
  • Effective communication skills across various mediums.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and standard office applications.
