The CAD Technician will have the responsibility to support the Engineering & Design Department through provision of Digital Engineering Services including:
Provision of 2D Design Deliverables
Project Handover support including Operation & Maintenance Manuals
The Instrument CAD Technician will have a technical engineering background and have industry related experience.
Role Detail Description:
The CAD Technician will work closely with the Instrument Engineer and Instrument Designers to support the efficient and effective delivery of engineering & design services.
The post holder will:
Produce Computer-Aided Design Deliverables in AutoCAD primarily loop diagrams and block cable diagrams
Update in AutoCADP & ID drawings to redline mark-ups
Have excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise
Mentor / train junior team-members
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
ONC in technical engineering related subject or substantial experience
Strong experience with AutoCAD 2D
Strong experience in UK construction projects
Experience of M&E design best practices (Focus on Instrumentation)
Experience of work on projects in Hazardous Area's (ATEX) desirable
Strong understanding of design process & associated documentation
Project life cycle experience
Knowledge of data and admin iterative management practices and procedures
Collaborative skills and experience working in part of a multi-discipline team
