You’ll probably be a Journalism / Media graduate who has had a couple of years experience in a relevant job following graduation. You’ve interviewed people, hosted podcasts and webinars, and sourced content. And now you’re ready to take the next step: being up there presenting events; managing people and content; and taking full responsibility for the success of the platforms.
You’ll be managing content for specialist magazines, and newsletters; and hosting and compering around 15 events a year.
The content of the publications will be down to you; you’ll be developing ideas for articles, interviews and features. They will generally be based around the events; for example, interviews with speakers. There may also be one-off specials, covering the USA market, for example.
You’ll be doing a lot of the writing yourself; and also using freelance journalists, particularly for the international market. It will be down to you to make sure the content is interesting and engaging; and that everything goes out on time.
You’ll be the in-person host for the events, and will be delivering welcoming speeches, moderating questions for panel debates, and introducing speakers to the stage.
