A specialist law firm in Macclesfield is seeking an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle a full caseload of industrial disease claims from inception to settlement.
  • Manage claims involving a range of industrial disease issues, including but not limited to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), asbestos-related conditions, repetitive strain injuries, and respiratory diseases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, prepare legal documents, and liaise with medical experts to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant statutory legislation, case law, and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
  • Progress cases efficiently through the litigation process, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Provide excellent client care, keeping clients informed and updated on the progress of their cases and offering sound legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support the overall objectives of the department and firm.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing industrial disease claims.
  • Strong litigation experience with a comprehensive understanding of industrial disease law.
  • Detailed knowledge of statutory legislation and relevant case law.
  • Familiarity with CPR and an ability to work independently in managing a caseload.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to manage a busy caseload.
