Supply Chain Planner

Are you an experienced Supply Chain professional looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team in Macclesfield. If you have a passion for logistics and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, then this could be the perfect role for you.

As the Supply Chain Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials through the supply chain. You will be responsible for ordering materials using the MRP system, managing suppliers, and resolving any issues that may arise. Excellent organisational and analytical skills are a must, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Sales Office team and other internal and external customers. You will be responsible for scheduling raw materials, finished goods, and packaging, as well as maintaining part numbers, pricing, and re-order points. Your role will be vital to the success of new product introductions and overall stock management.

To be successful in this role, you should have good engineering or manufacturing production knowledge, as well as previous experience in negotiating and managing suppliers. The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Good IT skills are also required.
