Position: Agricultural Engineer

Location: Macclesfield

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background working with heavy commercial and industrial agricultural plant equipment.

We’re looking for a mechanical engineer with experience dealing with Straw bedders, Diet Feeders, Vertical Diet Feeders and Shredders.

The right person for this position will already have a strong working background as a mechanical engineer, holding a minimum of a level 2 mechanical engineering qualification. It is preferred if this mechanical engineer was holding a class 1 licence.

This is an engineering role, however there will be occasions in which you will be client facing as items may need to be repaired on a client’s site.

Responsibilities:

Conducting maintenance and repairs on green waste machinery, including shredding and screening equipment
Servicing equipment on clients sites
Providing support to our 1000 agricultural accounts
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Plant Mechanic
Proven track record of working with shredders and clean work.
Class 1 Qualification (Preferably)
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
