The Company

Due to continued expansion, my client situated in Bollington, Cheshire is looking for an Mechanical Engineer to add to their growing Engineering Team.

The role follows the below shift pattern: Mechanical Engineer

  • Week 1 Mon-Thu Day shift 6am-6pm (4 x 12 hours)
  • Week 2 Wed-Fri Night shift 6pm-6am (3 x 12 hours)
  • Week 3 Mon-Tue Night shift 6pm-6am & Fri Day shift 6am-6pm (3 x 12 hours)

The role will involve working on old and new machines completing reactive and planned maintenance, great working environment and a company culture.

Role Overview: Mechanical Engineer

We put our people’s health and safety first and we are proud of our record that demonstrates that. Working in a fast paced and busy environment, the role holder must be safety conscious, always considering not only their own safety but the safety of colleagues as well.

You will be part of an enthusiastic Engineering team whose purpose is to respond to breakdowns and maintain site wide electrical systems in order to minimise engineering downtime, also provide continuous improvement support.

You will be detail driven, focused through CMMS on maintaining and improving a wide variety of machinery from state-of-the-art Coating machines down to slitting and sheeting machines.

You should be reliable, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to tackle and resolve issues as they arise. You will also be expected to contribute via audits and activities to continuous improvement, with an attention to workplace organisation that underpins our 5S standards.

Experience in the paper coating and converting industry is preferred but certainly not essential as training will be given. Mechanical qualifications essential/time served.

Further desirables:

Tig welding, pipe fitting, boiler, strip pumps, fabrication & machining.
