Job Title: Assembly Technician

Salary: Up to £17.26 per hour

Location: SK10, Stockport

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician:

  • Ensure that assembly and build quality meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct thorough PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and testing of machinery before delivery.
  • Attend sites for machine commissioning and handling breakdowns.
  • Demonstrate self-discipline, proactivity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adhere to deadlines and delivery schedules.
  • Assembly Technician should ensure compliance with production instructions and exceed quality standards.
  • Report any assembly irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in on-site commissioning and provide customer training.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Primary responsibility for mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and main assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
  • Maintain accurate electronic parts lists.
  • Assembly Technician should conduct mechanical surveys, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Proficient in general engineering tasks such as marking out, drilling, and tapping.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification.
  • Assembly Technician should be willingness to perform work on-site or off-site as required.
