JOB TITLE - Behaviour Mentor

Prospero Teaching, a leading teaching recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in Macclesfield.
About the Role:
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to identify and address challenging behaviour in students.
- Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans to support students in making positive choices.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and encouraging open communication.
- Advocate for students emotional well-being and mental health.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

- Accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- In-house Training and Development Team
- Location: Macclesfield
- Position: Behaviour Mentor
- School Hours: 08:00am - 15:00
- Type: Full-Time only
- Minimum rate of pay: £100
- Type of Work: Teaching Assistant
- Duration: Ongoing
- End Date: Ongoing

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
