JOB TITLE - Behaviour Mentor

Prospero Teaching, a leading teaching recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in Macclesfield.

About the Role:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to identify and address challenging behaviour in students.
  • Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans to support students in making positive choices.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and encouraging open communication.
  • Advocate for students emotional well-being and mental health.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

  • Accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
  • In-house Training and Development Team
  • Location: Macclesfield
  • Position: Behaviour Mentor
  • School Hours: 08:00am - 15:00
  • Type: Full-Time only
  • Minimum rate of pay: £100
  • Type of Work: Teaching Assistant
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • End Date: Ongoing
  • Contract Type: Temporary

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
