Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an English Teacher for Secondary Schools in Macclesfield, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join the leading agency in Greater Manchester for work on a supply basis.

The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for literature and language, inspiring students to engage with texts and develop their literacy skills. You will be responsible for planning and delivering dynamic and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and a love of English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of English.

  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.

  • Provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.

  • Collaborate with colleagues within the English department to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including attending staff meetings and supporting extracurricular activities when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with a specialism in English (QTS or equivalent).

  • A passion for teaching English and the ability to inspire students.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a positive, proactive approach to teaching.

  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 is desirable, but NQTs are also welcome to apply.
