Venn Group have been approached by a support organisation and would like to introduce the following position available

Position:          Housing Support Worker

Location:         Macclesfield

Rate:               £15.00 p/hour (Umbrella rate) - Negotiable depending on experience                     

Length:            3 months initially

Hours:             35.5 hours p/week, including weekends  

The role will predominantly involve:

  • Providing Housing Related Support and recovery support to 8 – 10 residents
  • Supporting clients at risk of homelessness
  • Conducting welfare checks
  • Light cleaning duties and general upkeep of the building
  • Advocating for residents where appropriate, helping residents arrange and attend scheduled appointments and on their structured day programme, GP, Probation, and other alcohol and substance misuse services
  • Encouraging and supporting residents to live as fully and independently as possible within the local community, providing information, emotional, organisational, practical support

The successful candidate must have previous experience in the above duties and be available at short notice
