We are seeking a SEND Needs Assessment Plan Writer to join our dedicated team in the Cheshire East area.The Role: As a key member of the SEND Team, you will manage a designated caseload, ensuring the efficient statutory assessment of children and young people. You will liaise with professionals and support services to gather crucial information, create high-quality Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), and facilitate co-production meetings with families and education settings.Key Responsibilities: ?? Monitor and track new Needs Assessments, ensuring timely completion.?? Draft and finalise EHCPs using advice from professionals.?? Maintain accurate records and contribute to statutory reports.?? Lead co-production meetings with families, schools, and agencies.?? Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory frameworks.?? Work collaboratively with locality leads and stakeholders to support effective communication.What We’re Looking For: ? Experience in writing EHCPs or working with children/young people with SEND.? Knowledge of SEN and Disability legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014.? Strong written and verbal communication skills.? Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.? IT proficiency to maintain records and reports.? A commitment to person-centred approaches and inclusive practices.Desirable: ? Experience working in education, health, or social care settings.? Understanding of health and social care services that support children with SEND.?
