Academics are looking to recruit a Welfare Assistant to work and support children with Special Educational Needs in Macclesfield.

This role will be versatile and children that require support may vary in age groups and key stages. Work for this role can be either full time or part time depending on your preference. Experience with SEN Children will be highly desirable within this role as personal care may sometimes be a requirement.

Having an experienced Welfare Assistant join our team would help us do just that.

So, as a Welfare Assistant what would you be doing?

  • Support a child's mental, emotional and academics needs to ensure they are getting the best experience out of their education
  • Assist the teacher in finding ways to help SEN students learn that suits their own individual needs
  • When required, provide personal care to students

This will be a demanding, as well as a highly rewarding role and the successful candidate will need to display positivity, resilience, patience, compassion, energy, empathy and certainly a sense of humour. The successful candidate will form part of an exceptional team of highly committed and dedicated staff.
