This opportunity requires a skilled Senior Manager to lead our sustainability services proposition and team. The core responsibilities will include developing strategies and owning the processes to construct NetZero Road maps to enable our blue-chip clients to achieve their sustainability agendas.

As the industry experiences more significant pressures to meet its annual sustainability goals and targets, the team at EECO2 are seeking an individual to lead the sustainability division to deliver energy projects, give guidance on the strategies, build the tools and advise clients on how they need to get there.

Role Objective

The primary responsibility of this role is delivering high-quality energy-focused solutions to global pharma and life sciences clients.

As a sustainability services manager, you will provide expert advice on optimising energy use, promoting sustainability, and driving cost efficiency within client organisations across various services, including HVAC, water and energy flows, wastewater, steam and hot/cold utilities.

Your expertise will help organisations reduce their carbon footprint and the negative impact of global warming on the planet while maintaining operational effectiveness.

You will oversee all aspects of service delivery, including customer solution creation, defining the value proposition, project development, costing, planning, and management. Additionally, this role includes direct line management, developing, guiding and mentoring others to ensure the team deliver outputs related to the sustainability agenda.

You will also collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and support discussions with new and existing customers, driving project initiatives and managing customer relationships.

This role will be divided into 3 parts; as the role evolves, elements will vary in the percentage of the time allocated:

  • The bulk of the role and up to 60% will be focused on leading the end-to-end project delivery with the team (project execution) and reporting on the assessments
  • Up to 40% of your time will be spent managing and developing the sustainability services team

Experience

  • Project visionary – able to optimise the project delivery by considering project efficiency, interdependent deliverables and sequence of events (laying out the strategy)
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage project scope and timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal awareness, active listening skills, and effective conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) with an approachable and empathetic style, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and empowerment, as well as presenting technical information logically and persuasively.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to network, build and maintain positive relationships at all levels, facilitate internal meetings with a focus on “diversity in thought.”
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing and coaching a high-performing team

  • ESOS Lead Assessor and Chartered Energy Manager
  • LCC
  • Member of a relevant Insitute
  • BREEAM AP
  • Corporate Sustainability and Sustainable Development skills
  • Experience in Sustainability Reporting and Analytical Skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to develop and execute sustainability strategies
