Hunter Selection are working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great time to join an expanding business, following a period of sustained growth they are looking to introduce new products off the back of recently won contracts. The business are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to bolster their engineering department. This role will suit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with experience of working on tooling design and new product introduction. Role & Responsibilities:

  • To design and create a forming process to meet customers profile, cosmetic and tolerancing needs.
  • Initial Forming sales quotation and liaising with Sales Team
  • Forming Tooling design and liaising with internal or external tool makers for manufacturer
  • Initial setup and prove off of new contract to customers and internal specifications
  • Supervision of initial production runs and process improvements/optimisation
  • Liaising with Quality, Technical, Operational Sales Teams and Supply Chain Teams
  • Maintain high standards of individual housekeeping and 5s and be involved in Continuous Improvement activities as they arise

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience with at least Radial/Flow forming or 3 roll CNC bending at an engineer level
  • Previous Engineering experience and qualifications are essential
  • Experience working within a customer and supplier environment
  • 3D Solidworks or Inventor experience is also desirable, but not essential
