Progress Teachers are seeking to recruit passionate and dedicated Year 2 Primary Teacher to teach 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays) at a lovely primary school in Derby City.

This role starts after Easter until summer, interviews are next week! could be arranged virtually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and a love for learning.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, other teachers, and SENCO to provide comprehensive support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers to provide regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, and Speech and Language Disorders and how to plan appropriately for these needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
