Technical Services Advisor (Passive Fire Protection)
Location: Maesteg

Job Type: Full-time/Permanent (office-based)


We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Technical Services Advisor specialising in passive fire protection for cavity barriers and firestops. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess incoming technical enquiries, assigning caseloads to technical engineers in line with set processes and response times.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email within the required competency level, ensuring professional and timely responses.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system in accordance with technical processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Monitor and utilise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure service levels and response times.
  • Assist in recording data, compiling reports, and supporting team leaders with additional tasks.
  • Conduct project reviews, prepare timelines, and generate reports to support technical involvement.
  • Oversee the internal bespoke product ordering process, ensuring alignment with technical guidance.
  • Develop knowledge of departmental processes to provide support when required.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the business.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a customer-focused role providing product and service advice.
  • Strong administrative skills with proven experience in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Proficiency in organisational skills, with the ability to manage personal workload and team caseloads efficiently.
  • High attention to detail to ensure technical enquiries are processed accurately.
