|An established global manufacturer with their Head Office in Maesteg is currently looking for a skilled Power Press Operator to join our manufacturing team.

In this role, you will operate and set up mechanical and hydraulic power presses to produce precision components. You will ensure safe machine operation, maintain high standards of quality, and set up tools and dies for production runs, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate power presses, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Set up tools and dies, adjusting press settings as needed.
  • Inspect parts for quality and conformance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with the quality control team.
  • Follow safety protocols and keep the work area organized.
  • Assist in training junior operators.

Skills:

  • Expertise in mechanical and hydraulic press operation.
  • Skilled in tool and die setup.
  • Competence in basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with measuring and inspection tools.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience operating power presses.
  • Certification in power press safety (e.g., PUWER).
  • Understanding of ISO quality standards and proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
