Role Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in January 2025. Multiple positions are available to support children aged 3-11 with autism. The successful candidates will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualised assistance and promote a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities for children with autism.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.

  • Support the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with the autism support coordinator.

  • Foster social and emotional development through positive interactions and activities.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism is preferred.

  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
