Job Title: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Maghull, Sefton
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Maghull, Sefton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with classroom-based experience who is looking for a long-term, full-time role supporting children across EYFSto KS1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children in EYFS and KS1, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Commitment to safeguarding.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and encourage students to reach their full potential.
  • Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and nurturing learning space.
  • Work closely with other teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide additional support as required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a classroom setting, ideally within a mainstream primary school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their best.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Committed to providing a positive learning experience for all children.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or happy to apply for one through Chalk Education
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
