About the JobThis hands-on role is ideal for a commercially aware finance professional seeking their next step. Supporting the Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving improvements across reporting, controls, and financial planning, ensuring the organisation’s finance function continues to evolve alongside the business.
Duties will include:
- Delivering robust month-end management reporting and analysis
- Preparing statutory reports and managing audit processes
- Leading improvements in finance systems, controls, and processes
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy development
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and financial risks
- Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and credit control
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting corporation and indirect tax compliance
- Collaborating on business process reviews and finance transformation initiatives
About the Successful ApplicantYou will be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least two years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a fast-paced SME environment. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are essential, and experience with Sage 50 and Sage Payroll is advantageous. You’ll be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of thriving under pressure.
