We are working with a well-established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a permanent Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to support the organisation’s financial processes, as they go through an exciting period of growth and development.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure accuracy in financial data across multiple business units, maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Oversee 30+ month-end journals, focusing on cost allocations, accruals, and reallocation reports to drive efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, insightful financial reports to senior leadership, providing analysis that informs key decisions.
  • Clear a critical reconciliation backlog, ensuring timely and accurate data for budget preparation and improved financial visibility.
  • Lead process improvements to streamline manual workflows, enhancing overall efficiency and preparing for system upgrades.

This opportunity is offering hybrid working, requiring you to travel into their Maidenhead office twice a week. In addition, the candidate will benefit from study support, a competitive annual leave allowance and pension close to 10%!

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be part-qualified in ACCA or CIMA, or hold an AAT qualification with plans to pursue further qualifications.
  • Have solid accounting knowledge, particularly in double-entry and accruals, with experience in management accounting and ideally budgeting and forecasting.
  • Possess strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Sum-ifs) and experience in handling large datasets.
  • Be proactive, with a can-do attitude, eager to suggest process improvements and put in extra effort during critical month-end periods.
