We are seeking a highly experienced and CTA qualified Tax Director to lead our client's tax department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax advisory, compliance, trusts, inheritance tax, probate, restructuring, company reorganisation, and capital gains tax. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex tax issues and providing exceptional leadership.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide strategic tax planning advice and leadership across all aspects of taxation.
  • Oversee the compliance process to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies for trusts, inheritance, and capital gains.
  • Lead on probate matters and advise on the tax implications of restructuring and company reorganisation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and communicate relevant changes effectively to the team and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice tailored to their specific needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CTA qualification is essential.
  • Extensive experience in a senior tax role, preferably as a Tax Director.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax advisory, compliance, trusts, inheritance tax, probate, restructuring, company reorganisation, and capital gains tax.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex tax issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Proactive and able to stay ahead of tax law changes.
