We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Administrative Support Officer (Bookkeeper) with AAT Level 4 to provide essential Finance support to the business. This role involves managing financial records, reconciling bank accounts, and dealing with some transactional accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:- Record and reconcile monthly income
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets
- Manage bank accounts, review unreconciled bank transactions, and ensure all financial records are up-to-date.
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayments journals for central purchases
- Complete bank and statement reconciliations
- Printing off financial reports from the finance system to senior managers for budget review.
- Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations a
- Dealing with the fixed asset register and journals.
- Manage the authorisation process of payment runs.
- Reconcile card statements and ensure financial compliance is adhered to.
- Proven experience in finance and administrative roles, preferably within an educational or trust setting.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and grant management.
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel for maintaining and analysing data.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Effective communication skills, capable of providing clear financial advice and reports.
You will need to have a foundation degree for this role or AAT Level 4
