Workshop Controller 

Location: Taplow

Salary: Up to £60,000

Hours: 45 Hours per week

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller / Bodyshop Controller to lead and manage the day-to-day operations in our body shop. This role is crucial in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring site profitability by effectively motivating, supporting, and managing the team to achieve high-quality repairs.

As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire customer service journey, ensuring repairs are delivered on time and to the highest standard. You will work proactively to manage resources, financial targets, and customer relationships, all while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and company processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver financial results in line with agreed budgets
  • Manage site resources and costs to optimize capability and profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with work providers and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, Health & Safety, PAS125, and manufacturer standards
  • Lead and manage a structured performance management process for staff
  • Provide market-leading customer service from booking to vehicle return

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in workshop / bodyshop management
  • Strong communication skills and professional appearance
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience with Audatex is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of current management systems and tools is a plus
  • Strong understanding of staff recruitment and HR policies
  • Ability to interpret printed estimating packages (preferred, not essential)
