About the role:
As Stores & Depot Supervisor you are responsible for both our Maidenhead facility, including stores and offices, and for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, stocking and distribution of system components and spare parts across the shared stores of our D&B, O&M, and Home Energy divisions.
This is a fully office based role.
Job requirements:
The successful candidate for the Stores and Depot Supervisor role shall be self-motivated, trustworthy, and meticulous in their approach to organisation, housekeeping and logistics.
Experience and Skills:
- Full, clean driving license with B category and a willingness to drive a <3.5t van.
- Counterbalance forklift ticket and experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Experience in the plumbing/mechanical or electrical sector is beneficial, but as a minimum you will have good awareness of mechanical & electrical components and fittings.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a role responsible for a depot/facility, and/or supervisory experience in a depot or stores environment is essential.
The successful candidate shall reside within daily commute of our Maidenhead facility (which is walking distance from Maidenhead station) and be prepared to be present onsite Monday-Friday, (Apply online only)hrs.
Job responsibilities:
As our Stores & Depot Supervisor, your duties will include:

Receiving Goods/Goods Inward. Our Maidenhead depot is the primary point of receipt for all goods inward, and as stores person you will be principally responsible for receipt and storing of goods received.

Stock inventory management shall be the responsibility of the Stores and Depot Supervisor, ensuring that good records are kept using our inventory management system, of incoming and outgoing stock.

Picking goods and collating takeoffs produced by our Buying and Projects teams, ensuring that delivery logistics are managed efficiently and that takeoffs are collated accurately.

Delivery of stock to nearby sites; from time to time, the Stores & Depot supervisor shall be required to make deliveries/collections to/from company sites, and therefore a B category driving licence and the willingness to drive a <3.5t van is essential.

Yard and stores responsibility shall sit with the Stores and Depot Supervisor, ensuring that the facility space is well organised, safe and tidy. This will include the use of a counterbalance forklift truck.

Overall depot facility management. The successful candidate shall be trustworthy and responsible, capable of acting as primary key-holder for our Maidenhead premises and taking responsibility for the depot, including the stores and office space.
