Join a Dynamic Team as a Credit Controller

An established company located on the outskirts of Windsor, Berkshire, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their thriving team. This rural location requires reliable transport, but the rewards of working with a charismatic and dedicated team make the journey worthwhile.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working closely with the sales team and a dynamic Managing Director, the Credit Controller will be a pivotal member of the finance department. The main duties include:

Sales Ledger

  • Raising invoices, including obtaining purchase order numbers as appropriate.
  • Posting all sales invoices onto Sage and maintaining accurate records of disputed invoices.
  • Reporting on customer account debt and disputes during monthly accounts meetings.
  • Sending out statements and invoices as directed.

Credit Control

  • Setting up new accounts on Sage and performing credit checks on customers.
  • Chasing outstanding invoices via phone and email.
  • Debt collection from customers with outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments.

Demo and Hire Agreements

  • Collaborating with the sales team to raise and send out agreements.
  • Following up with customers on clock hours and insurance requirements.
  • Raising necessary invoices on a weekly basis.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assisting with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
  • Providing support to the Finance Manager when required.

About You

They are looking for a self-managed and organised individual with excellent time management skills who can handle multiple priorities with ease. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage (beneficial but not essential).
  • Proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to handle data effectively.
  • A process-oriented mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confidence in communicating with customers and internal teams, demonstrating professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.

Your ability to build positive relationships, both internally and externally, will be key to your success in this role.
