Trainee Mortgage Protection Advisor

£20--23,000 DOE (Plus regular salary increases and lots of commission once trained!)

Location – Maidenhead – office based

Monday to Friday – 9am - 5.30pm

My client, a market leader in the mortgage industry, is looking for a Trainee Mortgage Protection Advisor to join their growing team! You don’t need any previous experience, as they will provide you with full training and support! Although some sales or customer service experience would be beneficial.

You will start by working as a Protection Administrator, shadowing and supporting the Mortgage Protection Advisor and duties will include:

  • Administering protection applications to acceptance stage.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with Protection Advisors.
  • Researching protection products and placing cases with providers.
  • Generating business from current and previous clients.
  • Completing medical reports.
  • Further down the line – you will generate and build your own client base, and eventually conduct your own protection appointments and arrange policies.
  • You will also study towards industry recognised mortgage protection examinations, paid for by the employer!

My client offers a clear progression plan which includes regular pay increase for meeting targets, and once you have fully qualified you can expect to earn lots of commission on top of your basic pay!

To be successful in this role, you need to be:

  • Bright, enthusiastic, outgoing and personable
  • Educated to an A level standard or equivalent (graduates are also welcome)
  • Motivated to work to targets
