Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring that all financial accounts and tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff, ensuring they receive appropriate training and support in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
- Review financial statements and related reports for clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical accounting and tax advice to clients, helping them navigate complex financial matters and improve business performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, proactively identifying opportunities for further service provision.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities, as needed.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure all work is completed efficiently and in compliance with internal controls and regulations.
- Keep up to date with changes in accounting and tax legislation and provide training to clients and staff as necessary.
- Support the wider team with ongoing process improvements and implement best practices to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or recently qualified), with solid experience within a practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
