A charity in Maidenhead is looking to recruit an Interim Finance Manager for a 6-12 month contract. The role joins a small finance team working for an ambitious charity with plans to modernise, grow and operate more commercially.

The main responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager are:

  • Lead on all management accounting and month end activities across the charity.
  • Business partner with Heads of Departments to provide high quality finance advice.
  • Make improvements to the financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage a (self-sufficient) Finance Officer.
  • Work with the Finance Director on finance projects.

This organisation has modern offices and offers flexible working. The position has the potential to go permanent if desired and will work for an experienced Finance Director.

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Have charity or wider not for profit experience (however not essential).
  • Have strong excel skills.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to convey finance information to non-financial professionals.
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period.
