This lovely organisation is seeking a Part-Time Head of Finance to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team, this Head of Finance will be pivotal in ensuring financial stability, the provision of high-quality financial information and achievement of organisational gaols. Â
The key duties of this Part-Time Head of Finance are as follows:
- Provide strategic financial insights to drive growth and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leaders, Trustees, and stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives.
- Drive system improvements, including implementing a new financial accounting system.
- Develop and oversee budgets, ensuring assumptions are robust and accurate.
- Manage and develop a Finance Team, ensuring team alignment with organisational goals.
- Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate management information and analysis.
- Oversee statutory accounts, audits, VAT returns, and compliance reporting.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and other external partners.

The successful candidate will have:
- Proven expertise in financial and/or management accounting, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Ideally, a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA) although candidates who can demonstrate they are QBE are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in staff management, recruitment, and development.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
