Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire our specialist client is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will be hybrid based with 3 days a week in the office.

This job would suit an ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified accountant with at least 5 year's post qualified experience within a multi-site business. Reporting directly to the CEO of a multi-site business, you'll lead financial strategy, drive performance, and deliver key insights to help shape business decisions.

The successful individual will have excellent commercial acumen, taking the time to understand business objectives and focusing on activity to yield the greatest commercial benefit. They must have strong analytical skills with the ability to not only build but interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. Solid understanding of key financial concepts and proactive performance management is essential. Experience of using financial systems, such as Oracle, will suit this role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Single point of contact for all aspects of financial partnering, challenge and support into the business, including performance management and decision support as well as operational finance.
  • Tracking and presentation on the progress of operational and financial actions plans on a regular basis, with the commercial skills to highlight deviations and resolve any issues alongside the divisional operational leads.
  • Continual assessment of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and measure the financial performance of the Division
  • Primarily responsible for the build and delivery of the divisional financial strategy plan, budget and required Group forecasts.
  • Work alongside the divisional management accounts team to produce timely, accurate management information and partner the site operational Business leaders. This will include undertaking complex analysis and extrapolation of the value drivers of performance (financial or other) with the credibility to present across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives and optimise commercial performance. Ensure a close and continuous relationship with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics business function to produce insightful Management Information enabling the Group Executive team to cut through the noise and get into the right level of detail.
