Senior Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

Maidenhead, Berkshire

45,000 - 53,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Pension (up to 8%) + Free Parking.

Are you an experienced Production Manager from a food manufacturing background look for an exciting, challenging and varied role for one of the UK's leading Food Manufacturing Companies, with opportunities for further progression.

It may suit an Operations Manager from a smaller food company looking to work for a larger, international company, or an experienced Production Manager from a large corporate food manufacturer wanting to progress.

This position will focus on second line management of staff (team leaders and Assistant Production Manager), plus a focus on quality, health and safety and support improvement projects.

You will also deputise for the Operations Manager when they are on leave.

It suits someone who is happy being visible on the shop floor, a team player, whose greatest skill is line management.
Someone who is happy to challenge ideas, but can do it in the right manner and take teams with them when implementing change.

The Role:

  • Maintain and uphold standards of health and safety, quality, discipline, food hygiene, communication and employee relations.
  • Develop, train and motivate staff including mentoring of team leaders
  • Advise, recommend and implement any improvement to work methods which could improve productivity, performance or economy of operation.



The Person:

  • Production management experience in a food manufacturing business
  • Excellent line management experience including 2nd line management
  • An understanding of NPD, planning, health and safety and quality.
