Key Responsibilities & DutiesWe are seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team and contribute to the smooth running of our school. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain classroom experience and make a positive impact on students' educational journeys.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise Classes: Manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused on their tasks.
- Deliver Pre-Set Work: Follow the teacher's instructions to deliver planned lessons, maintaining the structure of the day.
- Promote Positive Behaviour: Uphold the school's behaviour policy, encouraging respectful and productive classroom environments.
- Support Learning: Assist students with their tasks, addressing questions or concerns where possible.
- Adaptability: Be ready to support various subjects and year groups, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Administrative Support: Carry out general administrative tasks when not covering lessons.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can manage a classroom with confidence and professionalism.
- Demonstrates adaptability and the ability to work under pressure.
- Has experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
- Is committed to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
While prior experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role is advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
